About Us

Who we are?

We are a registered charity (SC047649) based in Sauchie Hall that aims to promote the benefits of the residents of Sauchie by engaging the community in a programme of lifelong learning.

Our organisation was established in 2005 and registered as a charity in 2017, managed by local volunteers.  We work collaboratively with adults, young people and partners to develop a programme of  community engagement, lifelong learning and recreational / leisure activities delivered by our staff and volunteers. We aim to reduce the impact of poverty, address health and wellbeing, education, employability skills and promote active citizenship.

Thanks to funding from the National lottery and Scottish Government, our volunteers are now being supported by the expansion of a staff team, consisting of  a full time Development worker , a part time Youth worker and Adult/Support worker.

Sandra is the heart and soul of Active8 and is always on hand to make sure the charity is doing the best it can for the people of Sauchie. 

“After 15 years of volunteering with Sauchie Active8 supported by our partners, we are working through our 5 year development plan to support and develop a programme of activities and opportunities for our local residents . Thanks to funding from the National lottery and Scottish Government, we have been granted funding for a staff team, consisting of a full time Development worker , a part time Youth worker and Adult/Support worker.”
